He participated on follow international exercises:
In May 2000 Lieutenant-colonel DAMIAN was assigned to Romanian Land Forces Staff as Chief of Arty Office, where he was promoted to colonel in June 2003.
Since November 2003, Colonel DAMIAN is the Chief of Combat Units Training Branch / Training and Doctrine Structure.
His personal career building process includes a comprehensive education and training program. After Military School he has attended different commander and staff courses of the General and Land Forces Staff.
From 1991 to 1993 he was sent to the Military Academy from Romania, where he was graduated with very good certificate in the field of Arty Branch. Later, he served at Arty battalion / brigade and Romanian Land Forces Staff and exercised his academic skills and knowledge in the training and development weapon systems areas.
In the field of Military Science; he graduated Doctorate and he became the Ph. D. title starting with 2001.
Colonel DAMIAN fluently speaks and writes in English, and has satisfactory level of German.
From August 14th 2004 to March 03rd 2005, he participated to the “IRAQI FREEDOOM” Operation as a Deputy of G.3 Chief in MND CS / MNF-I. There, for outstanding support and dedication to the coalition mission, in accordance with the special instructions in Chapter 3, AR 600-8-22, he was awarded by THE US DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY with “THE ARMY ACHIEVEMENT MEDAL” (No. PO 006 – 005 / January 06th 2005) and with “THE ARMY COMMENDATION MEDAL” (No. PO 256 – 033 / September 13th 2005).
