It was created in October 2004 in Ploiesti. This Battalion, as well as 83rd LAROM Battalion, is going to be provided with modern LAROM.
It is the follower of units with a long tradition that existed in Ploiesti: The Center for training Artillery personnel, the Missile Technical Mobile Unit, 95th Mixed Artillery Territorial Brigade, 96th LAROM Ar. P. R. regiment.
The present location offers this structure lots of facilities regarding training conditions, storing the technics (roofed hangars and sheds), the materials and living conditions. Since education institutions existed here, the former classrooms were turned into specialty training rooms, English learning classrooms and offices that ensure a good training and working environment. The equipment of the sports grounds and of the gym allows physical training classes to take place in optimal conditions.
